Establish a microscope before yourself on a reliable support, for example, on a table. The device has to settle down slightly on the left from you, in several centimeters from the table edge. Having established a microscope into place, try not to shift it before the end of supervision.

If the device has illumination, evenly guide it at the studied object and adjust. Muffle too bright light, using for this purpose filters of blue or green color.

Before using the device, check its settings and correct them if necessary. For control of a microscope draw a small dagger on a clean sheet of paper. Place a leaf on a subject little table that the cross settled down in the middle of a field of vision.

Look in a microscope one eye. Now close an eye and look at a dagger another. If the cross remained in a midfield of sight, settings are exposed correctly. If when examining a dagger the second eye it looks displaced, adjust the device the corresponding screws.

If you use a binocular microscope, adjust also depth of sight and distance between eyes, having arranged them under the specific features.

In advance prepare all materials for research, they have to be near at hand, near a subject little table, but not disturb supervision. Place the object interesting you on a subject little table and start researches.

Considering object of supervision in a microscope, accept the correct pose. It is desirable to sit not movably, in the same situation. Elbows have to concern a table. Previously pick up a chair so that it was convenient; adjust it on height if it allows a design.

Do not work behind a microscope more than fifteen minutes in a row. Otherwise it is possible to get short-sightedness. After short examining of object make a pause, having filled it with gymnastics for eyes (move eyes in different directions, up and down, blink). Look in a window at remote object, and then for a couple of minutes cover eyes with palms.
