It is known that white tea often was ready in the imperial palace, even its opening attribute to one of the Chinese emperors – to Shennong.
The legend says that the emperor sat in the garden and drank simple boiled water as it was simply mad about hygiene. However from a tea tree to it some leaflets and when the emperor tasted the drink got to a cup, was surprised to its delicate and interesting taste. By the way, white tea is one of the most expensive tea grades as during its collecting it is necessary to consider a heap of conventions. In particular, people who bring together him, have no right there are neither onions, nor garlic, cannot drink alcohol, they are forbidden to eat spices – all these precautions are necessary not to spoil delicate aroma from gentle leaflets. Classical white tea produce only in two places, on the island Sri Lanka and in the province of China Fujian for today. Leaflets for white tea can be collected only strictly in two certain days, in September and April, and they gather only some hours, from five mornings to nine mornings. For production of white tea the most very young leaves, and for the most expensive grades only one top leaf are selected. It is very bad if during collecting the rain goes – all crop vanishes.
